Claudia Soria was born in La Paz, Bolivia. She holds a degree in Economics.

Claudia has been painting with renowned artist Andy Braitman since 2005. She has also taken workshops from renowned artists including pastel and oil artist Greg Barnes and figure and portrait artist Miriam Durkin. She travels to her native Bolivia every year where she paints under the instruction of Bolivian painter Oscar Rodriguez since 2002.

Claudia has participated in several exhibitions in Providence Gallery, the Watkins Gallery at Queens University of Charlotte, and the Womble Carlyle Gallery located in Winston-Salem. She is also active in the community supporting different fundraiser events for the Autism Foundation of the Carolinas and Safe Alliance’s signature event Art with Heart.

Claudia is currently Director of ArtSi Charlotte, a Latin American arts initiative that supports Latin American artists in the Charlotte Metro area. Claudia is also a partner in Ciel Gallery, a fine arts collective located in Charlotte’s Historic South End.

Claudia lives in Charlotte North Carolina with her husband and three children.
